Description
The NTZ 600 self-tipping skip is a specialised forklift attachment designed for extreme working conditions. Unlike standard containers, the NTZ series was created to handle very heavy waste and sharp-edged materials. If your facility generates heavy steel scrap, cast iron castings, or rubble, standard bins may wear out quickly. The NTZ 600 is an uncompromising solution, guaranteeing long-term durability.
Heavy Duty Construction: 4mm Plate and Channels
The foundation of this model’s strength is its uniform, massive build. The NTZ 600 self-tipping skip is manufactured entirely—both the hopper and the base—from thick 4mm steel plate. For comparison, standard skips usually have walls with a thickness of 2-3mm.
Furthermore, the base construction, which bears the greatest loads, has been additionally reinforced with industrial steel channels. Thanks to this solution, the 600-litre container offers an impressive load capacity of 2,000 kg. The entire structure weighs 200 kg, which testifies to the amount of steel used and the robustness of the workmanship. The external dimensions are: length 1,330 mm, width 1,310 mm, and height 910 mm.
Leak-proof Integrity and Reinforced Edge
The container is double-sided welded with continuous seams. This technology ensures the total leak-proof integrity of the tank, allowing for the safe transport of not only solid materials but also oily swarf or semi-liquid waste, without the risk of leaks onto the factory floor. The top edge of the hopper features special peripheral reinforcement. This protects the rim from deformation when hit by heavy elements during loading (e.g., from a conveyor belt or crane).
Handling System and Occupational Safety
Ergonomics and Health and Safety (HSE) are crucial when working with 2-tonne loads. The NTZ 600 self-tipping skip is equipped with a manual discharge mechanism. A robust lever is located on the rear wall of the hopper (on the operator’s side). Releasing the lock is achieved by pulling the lever, which causes the skip to tilt by gravity and discharge its contents.
The design also includes an integrated safety catch to prevent unwanted tilting. This lock prevents the hopper from opening spontaneously during forklift transport over uneven surfaces, guaranteeing the safety of the carried load.
Corrosion Protection and Easy Cleaning
To withstand harsh industrial conditions, the skip is painted with specialised anti-corrosion paints. This coating creates a tight barrier protecting the steel against moisture, oils, and coolants. An additional advantage is the smooth surface of the hopper’s internal walls. The absence of unnecessary nooks and crannies ensures efficient emptying (material does not get stuck) and makes cleaning and maintenance very simple.
Applications of the NTZ 600 model
This armoured model is dedicated to:
-
Smelters and foundries (transport of hot and heavy elements).
-
Machining plants (heavy swarf, steel waste).
-
Scrap yards (transport of non-ferrous metals and steel).
-
Construction companies (transport of rubble and stones).
