Fixed Gitterbox – “Half-height” model

Description

The fixed “half-height” Gitterbox is a specialised transport and storage container that combines the strength of metal with the functionality of a wooden floor. The cage construction is based on solid steel profiles and durable wire mesh, providing excellent protection for transported goods while maintaining full visibility of the contents. The base, manufactured using a metal-and-wood system (utilising wooden boards), guarantees stable support for the load and high mechanical durability.

Convenient loading and logistical handling

The container has been designed with ergonomic work in mind. The front wall features a functional hinged flap. It is a split-gate – opening at half-height, which allows for convenient access to the interior from both the bottom and the top. This solution significantly facilitates the manual loading and unloading of goods, even when the cages are stacked. The base construction is equipped with high legs, which is a key logistical advantage – this allows the Gitterbox to be efficiently handled not only by forklifts but also by standard manual pallet trucks (“pump trucks”).

Safe storage and stacking

This model is ideal for optimising warehouse space. The upper part of the frame features special locators (corners) that stabilise the cages when stacked on top of each other. Consequently, the “half-height” Gitterbox can be safely stacked in a 1+3 arrangement (one container on the ground plus three on top). This allows for the effective use of warehouse height while maintaining the full safety of the stored materials.
