Construction and Durability
The offered fixed EPAL Gitterbox features a hybrid, extremely durable build.

Base: It consists of a solid steel frame infilled with wooden boards. This metal-and-wood construction provides excellent load cushioning and prevents the cargo from shifting.

Walls: Built from strong wire mesh stretched over steel profiles. This ensures full visibility of the stored contents while protecting them from damage.
Functionality: Easy Access and Stacking
The container was designed with warehouse ergonomics in mind.

Hinged Flap: The front wall features a split-gate flap (opening from both the bottom and the top). This is a crucial solution for work comfort—it enables easy manual loading and unloading of goods even from the bottom of the cage, without the need to lean over high sides.

Safe Storage: The upper corners of the container feature special locators (stabilising feet). Their task is to lock a container placed above, ensuring the stability of the stack. This Gitterbox is adapted for stacking in a 1+3 arrangement.
Transport and Logistical Handling
The base construction features high feet, making the fixed EPAL Gitterbox fully compatible with warehouse equipment. It can be handled from four sides by forklifts, and the specific clearance also allows for easy transport using manual pallet trucks (“pump trucks”).
This is a universal solution for transporting heavy parts, castings, and small items requiring protection.
