PLP Self-Dumping Discharge Platform

Description

The PLP discharge platform is a specialised self-dumping pallet designed for the transport and unloading of heavy, flat objects and industrial waste. It is a dedicated solution for plants where standard deep containers are impractical, such as when collecting sheet metal, plates, or long offcuts.

What defines the PLP model is its uncompromising construction. The platform is made entirely of 4 mm thick sheet metal. This is a value rarely found in standard containers, making this product “armoured” and resistant to the heaviest impacts or friction. The entire unit is double-sided welded and fully reinforced, guaranteeing stability and longevity even in the harshest foundry or scrap yard conditions. The base is equipped with C-section legs that isolate the platform from the ground, protecting it from corrosion from below.

Unloading System and Operation

The platform allows for a quick 45-degree discharge of the contents. The unloading mechanism is activated by a lever located on the rear wall. The operator has a choice: they can release the lock manually or – for greater safety – do it remotely by pulling a steel cable from the forklift cabin.

Double Safety Standards

In the PLP model, working safely with heavy loads is a priority. The platform features a double safety system:

1. Lever Protection: After each use, the lever must be locked in a vertical position using a special chain with a snap hook, preventing accidental opening.

2. Fork Protection: The base is equipped with a safety chain that is attached to the forklift carriage. This prevents the heavy platform from sliding off the forks during sudden braking or the unloading process itself.
