The PMDB Light 1000 drop-bottom container is a spacious 1,000-litre vessel that combines a large loading capacity with a lighter, modern construction. Made of 2mm thick steel plate, it is the ideal solution for collecting and transporting bulky waste with a lower density (such as foil, polystyrene, or cardboard), while offering full logistical versatility.

Modern construction and aesthetic finish

The container body stands out with its unique build – it is welded from two steel plate elements bent into a C-channel shape. The weld points are equipped with additional reinforcements that not only stiffen the structure but also aesthetically mask the joints. A key feature of the PMDB Light model is the placement of the fork pockets: they are located on the longer walls, directly below the top edge. This position facilitates stable transport and manoeuvring of the suspended container.

Improved ergonomics: New lever and closing system

This model features a modernised, one-piece lever with an ergonomic handle. The mechanism lock has been moved lower, allowing for easy manual opening of the bottom without the need for a pull cord – a major convenience for stationary operation. Closing the container is fast and effortless: it occurs by pressing the flap against the side of a collection skip or by placing the container on the ground and applying light pressure, which automatically snaps the bottom shut.

3-in-1: Forklift, Crane, and Pallet Truck

The PMDB Light 1000 is the definition of universality. Its design allows for handling by forklifts (upper pockets), cranes/hoists, and manual pallet trucks (specifically profiled feet). The base is equipped with feet featuring holes adapted for wheel mounting, providing the option to create a high-capacity mobile trolley. The upper corners allow for safe stacking in a 1+1 system, optimising the use of warehouse space.
