Description

The PMDC 1700 drop-bottom container is the largest available tank in the reinforced PMDC series. Offering an impressive capacity of 1,700 litres, it is the ultimate solution for heavy industry, where maximum efficiency is paramount and standard containers prove too small or too weak.

Giant capacity and 3-in-1 versatility

The PMDC 1700 model is a logistical “heavy hitter”. Despite its dimensions and massiveness, it has been designed to provide full transport flexibility within the plant:

1. Crane/Hoist transport: Thanks to robust lifting eyes and transport handles in the upper section, this powerful container can be safely moved overhead, which is crucial when carrying heavy loads.

2. Forklift operation: The reinforced base ensures stability on the forks.

3. Manual pallet trucks: The special foot design allows for manoeuvring the bin with a pallet truck (on hardened surfaces), which is a unique functionality in this size class.

Armoured construction: 3 mm and 4 mm

To safely carry 1.7 m³ of heavy waste, the container must be reliable. The side walls are made of 3 mm thick steel plate, and the base—the foundation of the structure—is 4 mm steel. The top edge is additionally reinforced around its entire perimeter, creating a rigid, impact-resistant frame. This construction makes the PMDC 1700 ideal for collecting heavy scrap, castings, rubble, or metallurgical waste.

Ergonomics and protection

The drop-bottom system enables the instantaneous emptying of a huge amount of material directly into a collection skip. The mechanism is released manually via a lever located on the side of the container. The surface is coated with a primer and polyurethane paint, creating a smooth, easy-to-clean finish that protects the steel against corrosion in harsh industrial conditions.
