Description
The PFL fluorescent tube container is a specialised steel bin designed to meet stringent standards for the collection and transport of hazardous waste. It is essential equipment for workplaces, recycling companies, and waste collection points, ensuring that fragile and environmentally harmful fluorescent lamps are stored in a safe and leak-proof manner.
Leak-proof and safe construction
The key aspect of storing used fluorescent tubes is preventing them from breaking and stopping harmful substances (e.g., mercury) from escaping. Therefore, the PFL model is made entirely of 2 mm thick steel plate and is double-sided welded. This production technology ensures not only high mechanical strength but, above all, the leak-tightness of the tank. The safety of the contents is guaranteed by a solid top lid, secured with two lever locks to prevent accidental opening. Inside, a practical support is installed to hold the lid open during loading.
Logistics: Forklift, Crane, and Stacking
The PFL container is adapted to various internal transport systems. The base features fork pockets for forklifts, while the upper part has four massive lifting eyes for attaching slings, enabling handling by cranes and hoists. The design of the corners and feet allows for safe stacking in a 1+2 arrangement (one on two), which leads to significant space savings in the warehouse.
Flexible discharge methods
The container offers three ways of emptying, depending on the available equipment:
-
By Crane: By unhooking the front hooks, which causes the container to tilt forward and discharge the contents.
-
By Forklift: Using a forklift equipped with a rotator.
-
Manually: Via access through the top lid (e.g., during sorting).
Choose the PFL Container if ecological safety and compliance with regulations when disposing of fluorescent lamps are your priority.
